seeking Small Calm Dog or Puppy – Service Dog Prospect (Under 25 lbs)
Location: Amherst / Western Massachusetts (willing to travel a short distance)
I am looking to adopt a small dog (under 25 lbs) with a calm, friendly, adaptable temperament. I am rarely home and need a dog who enjoys traveling with me and is comfortable being in many different environments (work, campus, appointments, visiting family).
This dog will be trained as a service dog, so a steady, people-oriented personality is very important.
Ideal traits:
Medium-to-low energy
Minimal barking
Calm and confident in public settings
Comfortable being out most of the day
Good with children
Good with other dogs, including senior/low-energy dogs
House-trained or pad trained
Comfortable being carried/toted
Male (neutered) or female (spayed)
Puppies preferred, but open to the right young dog. Open to mild or manageable medical needs. Willing to travel a short distance. Adoption fee is fine.
