Researchers at Clark University have noticed that the overwhelming majority of research on parenting focuses solely on White-European mothers. As such, these findings don’t capture the idiosyncrasies of other important cultural, and ethnic-racial groups.
Researchers at Clark University are inviting mothers to participate in a research study on the parent-child relationship during young adulthood. If you are a mother, identify as Black or African American, and have a child currently between the ages of 18-29 you may be eligible to participate!
This study involves an interview and short questionnaires that will take approximately 60 minutes of your time. This can take place either at Clark University or over phone, Skype or Facetime. Participation is voluntary you may decline to answer any question that you do not wish to answer, and if you wish to drop out of the study at any time, you are free to do so. Your answers will be kept fully confidential.
