This role is ideal for someone who understands construction from the ground up and can turn plans into accurate, competitive bids.
Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for excavation, concrete, and general construction projects
Review drawings, specs, and scopes of work
Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing
Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
Work with project management and ownership during bid reviews
Assist with change orders and job cost tracking as needed
Requirements:
Construction estimating experience (GC, excavation, or concrete preferred)
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency with Excel and basic estimating software
Knowledge of Massachusetts construction practices a plus
