If you, like me, know that living alone, moving into an uncertain future, is not what you want for yourself.
And especially if, like me, you have spent happy times living intentionally with others, now is the time.

I have lived happily for most of my adult life sharing a home with others. I raised my children there. But, for the last 5+ years I have lived alone in a 1BR above a garage, thinking a big community project would be soon happening. Working on it! But, sooner, I need to live with like minded others who care about the future of the world and the life-style choices that are sustainable at the individual and global levels. We consume the planet faster when everyone has been led to believe that having one of everything is a measure of success. Join me for a talk/walk.

COOP HOME FEATURES DESCRIPTION

This design set presents an egalitarian (except that some external views from windows will inevitably have superior view/solar compliments) expectation with regard to accommodation/access.
Each member private space will consist of two rooms. The lower floor may well be partially below ground and be the bedroom level with private bath facilities. These will also feature individual exterior egress and optional pass-through doors with closet wall sound control. All interior walls will be sound-proofed with cellulose insulation which will also provide fire transmission mitigation.

At the middle/living-room level, the central core provides unit-to-unit access as well as access to upper community space at the top of the building. Each unit has private balcony and possibly wood/pellet heat. Pass-thru is also available at this level.

The top floor community space is publicly accessed via exterior stairs to the deck that surrounds. This floor might be 2000 sqft. Kitchen and food prep and storage and dining are here. Furniture movement would provide for entertainment venue and dance/activity/event/workshop accommodation.
