Rehoming Young Dog (Amherst)

Riley is a 1 yr. 3 mo. old dog in need of a new home. Her current home cannot keep up with her extremely high energy levels, and she deserves a place where she can thrive.
Riley is a female Australian Shepherd/Border Collie/Spaniel mix (30 lbs), rescued at 7-8 months old.
Riley loves to run and play. When she settles down, she likes plenty of belly rubs and attention. She is an alpha-personality dog. Her ideal home would be with parent(s) that are usually home. A fenced in yard is ideal. Riley would not do well with children or cats, or in a home with lots of visitors. She loves to play with other dogs but her very alpha attitude would best suit an 'only child' home. Riley loves people but can be standoffish and nervous before warming up. Riley is crate trained. She is very food driven. SHE NEEDS A HOME WITH AN EXPERIENCED DOG OWNER WHO IS DEVOTED TO ONGOING TRAINING AND GOOD DOGGY MANNERS, AS SHE EXHIBITS AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR. She is up to date on vet care. Not yet spayed.
Please call or text with questions and interest. A rehoming fee will be decided upon finding an appropriate home. Vet reference a plus.
