Nacul Center of Ecological Architecture is leasing out its North Studio for business, professional, or hobby use use. The space is a large 600 sq. ft. studio with large north facing windows with plenty of light. Rent for the North Studio is $1,500 per month (along with $1,500 security deposit) for a year-long lease, and this includes all utilities such as heat, electricity, wifi, etc. However, if you wanted to install a landline, that would be up to you to set up and pay for.
The studio is located on the first floor, and no steps are needed to get into the building or into the studio. The studio itself is located at the non-profit Nacul Center—an old brick chapel erected in 1873 and was originally a methodist church called Wesley Chapel. The chapel is now completely non-denominational and is used as a professional and partial residential space. The landlord, Tullio Inglese, purchased and renovated the building in the early 1970's and currently locates his architecture firm TIA Architects at the Center. We have 3 other studios in the building which includes two bodywork/message therapists, and a non-profit land and property firm. On Sundays, a meditation group uses our private Apse for their weekly morning to afternoon gatherings. The lower/downstairs and private part of the chapel is rented as an apartment to four very respectful UMass Amherst graduate students.
Tenants must be renting the studio for their professional use or practice, or can be used as a creative space such as a private art or writing studio, etc. Artists must be mindful not to stain the floors, we advise using a tarp. We will not rent the studio as a storage site, we are looking for tenants who will use the space regularly.
Tenants but be relatively quiet (no music or loud sounds) as sound can be heard very well from the above massage studios and vice versa. So mindfulness of noise to not interfere with each other is important.
