The horn is in good shape overall. There is some general wear and tear like scratches, some very light cerdegris in a few places, and a few very small dents, but no major damage. The pads and adjustment materials are all in good condition and some are almost brand new, replaced at Gerry’s music store only a few months ago. There are probably a few leaks that need to be adjusted from things playing in, especially in the bell keys that had the pads changed not long ago, but it should only need minor adjustments and regulation, no major repairs are needed and no pads need to be replaced. Keys all move properly and freely, neck fits securely, and the horn plays top to bottom.
Case is original to the horn, and has some wear to the lining, but no grime or musty smells inside, and the hinges and latches work well. Please note the mouthpiece and ligature shown in the first two photos are not included.
Great starter tenor sax! I could easily sell it for $8-900 or more online, but would prefer not to deal with the risk of shipping it, scammers, etc, so I am listing it at a better price here to hopefully find a local buyer.
