Refinished 60s Avalon AV-2 bass, affectionately known as The Shaggs bass. This one had a lot of work done on it prior to me getting it. The bass was refinished in white and whoever did it did a pretty decent job, there’s no major bumps or anything from the sanding. Some sort of dresser drawer hardware was added as a thumb rest. The pickups are original but the electronics have been replaced. The knobs are not original. There’s a small crack on the neck near the headstock, but it seems to be on the surface only and does not affect anything. I recently had to get the tuners replaced, the electronics re-soldered, the neck was shimmed to bring the action down, pick up heights were adjusted and this bass plays and sounds absolutely amazing. I know that I won’t get to use it as much as I want to and that’s the only reason I’m letting it go.

Open to reasonable offers and trades for 60s, 70s or any unique guitars, guitar or bass amps, 4 tracks, etc. You can try it out before you buy.
