The drums are 12” and 13” in diameter respectively. The shells of both drums are 4” deep. The smaller diameter and depth gives these drums a relatively low profile, making it easy to integrate them into your existing drum-set. These drums are constructed out of stainless steel with a very cool black nickel finish. They will come with both the original heads and the awesome Remo Black Suede heads that I added.
These drums feature eye-bolts that make it simple to mount the drums on standard knurled rod mounts that measure between ⅜” and ½”. These Drum-Set Timbales are a relatively inexpensive and efficient way to substantially expand the sonic range and function of your drum-set.
I purchased these drums planning to use them in a small and lightweight multi-percussion kit that I was piecing together. It turns out that I never ended up using these drums in that kit, so they have literally done nothing but sit in my instrument closet for ten years. They have never been used to play shows, they’ve never left my studio and they were only played a few times in my studio. When you see them it will be immediately apparent to you that both the drums and the heads are in as-new condition.
The price for the 12” Drum-Set Timbale in the black nickel finish on typical online retailers such as Musician’s Friend is $150. The 13” timbale in the black nickel finish is no longer offered by LP, and so it’s just about impossible to find one. But I would be happy to sell this matching set of as-new Drum-Set Timbales with upgraded heads to a good home for just $200.
If you’re interested in the heavy-duty Tama stand shown in the photo I can throw that in for an additional $50. Otherwise you can purchase just the pair of timbales for $200 and use your own hardware to incorporate these drums into your kit however you want.
