Standard Scale length is 650 mm...~ 25.5 inches. The scale length on this Esteve Model 48 is 480mm. This allows a child/youth fingers to reach the first 3 frets with their first and 3rd fingers. The bodies of these guitars are correspondingly shorter and less deep, so as to be comfortable to play.
The guitar is in excellent condition...no cracks, straight necks...tuners work fine.
Most important...this guitar sounds really nice. This is important because getting a nice tone from an instrument inspires the student.
(1) Esteve Model 3ST48 48mm...about 1/4 size...This is suitable for ages 6-8....smaller hands. Handmade in Spain...these sell new for $700....This comes with a soft case.
Some dimensions: Esteve: Total length is 32 inches, the body length is 15 inches the lower bout is 12”
The upper bout is 9 inches. The fingerboard is 12 1/2 inches. The body depth is 4 inches.
The neck is 2 inches wide...the neck depth is approximately 3/4 of an inch but that tapers a bit.
Tone Matters and inspires....Don't buy some poorly constructed piece of junk from Eastern Europe or China...Get a guitar that's well made, easy to play, and sounds Great!
