Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for the upkeep of our full-scale manufacturing facility. This is a unique role for a versatile "hands-on" professional who can work on everything from high-force metal fabrication machinery to automated electroplating and powder coating lines. You will be part of a maintenance team responsible for minimizing downtime, maintaining precision tooling/dies, and ensuring our automated systems run safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
1. Metal Fabrication & Tooling
Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical/hydraulic punch presses and CNC tube benders
Maintain dies and tooling, including sharpening punches, checking clearances, and replacing springs/bushings
Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including cylinders, valves, and high-pressure pumps
2. Automated Plating & Plumbing
Service and repair various industrial pumping systems (centrifugal, diaphragm, etc.) and automated chemical delivery plumbing
Maintain chemical-resistant piping, filtration systems, and automated valves to ensure process consistency
Troubleshoot sensors and control systems within the plating line.
3. Powder Coating & Finishing
Maintain electrostatic spray equipment, powder pumps, and reclaim systems
Service curing ovens (burners, fans, and seals) to ensure temperature uniformity
Oversee the maintenance of multi-stage parts washers and compressed air filtration
4. General
Follow a Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedule
General facility maintenance and repair
Ensure all machinery meets OSHA safety standards, including light curtains and emergency stops.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years in industrial maintenance, preferably in a facility involving metal forming and finishing
Mechanical Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drive systems
Electrical Aptitude: Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot low-voltage control circuits (PLCs)
Plumbing: Experience with industrial PVC/CPVC or stainless steel plumbing for chemical transport
Precision: Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators for die maintenance and machine alignment
Safety: Strong understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and chemical handling protocols
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for the duration of a shift
Comfortable working around industrial chemicals and in varying temperatures (near ovens/plating baths)
