Equipment Repair: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of older farm machinery, including tractors, skid steers, tillage equipment, planters, and harvesting equipment such as choppers and balers.
Preventative Maintenance: Implement and track scheduled maintenance programs for all farm vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, lubrication, and fluid checks.
Facility Maintenance: Perform minor welding, fabrication, and repairs on barns, fences, gates, and feeding systems.
Field Work: Assist with seasonal fieldwork, including operating equipment and hauling during planting and harvesting.
Animal Care: Provide occasional assistance with herd movement, feeding, cleaning, and bedding.
General Upkeep: Perform landscaping, run errands, and handle other general farm property maintenance tasks.
APPLICANT SHOULD HAVE
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical ability to lift 75 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak season demands.
Proven experience in mechanical repair and maintenance, with a focus on older heavy agricultural equipment.
Understanding of diesel and gasoline engine repair, hydraulics, and electrical systems (12V/24V).
Demonstrated basic welding and fabrication skills
