Personal Care Attendant / Community Integration Specialist (Part-Time / Flexible) – Easthampton/Northampton Area
Seeking a compassionate, reliable person to support a young man in his 20s with a disability. This is a companion-style role focused on spending time together—listening to music, making art, going out into the community, and supporting daily routines in a relaxed, respectful way. He is in a day program so hours will be available after 3 pm on weekdays and on weekends. The client has some behavior issues and challenges integrating into society, so the right candidate will be able to exhibit patience and creative solutions in navigating various situations.
Position Details:
$19-23/hour
10–22 hours/week, flexible schedule
Shifts: Weekday late afternoons / evenings, weekends
Local candidates preferred
Responsibilities include:
Community outings (must have reliable transportation)
Creative and recreational activities (music, art, etc.)
Social and communication support
Light assistance with snacks and occasional personal care
Requirements:
Driver’s license + reliable car
Ability to pass a background check
Experience in related fields is helpful but not required. We are looking for someone who is patient, grounded, and genuinely enjoys being present with others.
There are hours available in two separate capacities: 1. Personal Care Attendant, starting at $19/hr., administered through Tempus unlimited and 2. Community Integration Specialist, $23/hr, administered through Acumen. There are similarities in the two roles and the details can be discussed during the hiring process.
