This treadmill can be adjusted to go really slow on flat ground or on a slope. It can go as fast as you can run, up-hill or flat. I bought it to exercise myself and my dogs in bad weather. The slower speeds were really useful for the dogs and they took to it right away. Unfortunately they are too old to use it now and I just don't have room for it now even though it does fold up nicely when you aren't using it. Everything works.
