These rabbits were professionally developed for commercial meat and fur production in the 1920's. They are very gentle which is helpful since they mature to 9-12 pounds. They have good health and excellent mothering instincts, producing litters of up to 13 kits (an average of 8). Kits mature quickly to substantial harvest size by 8-12 weeks.
