Chestnuts are delicious and quite nutritious. They are packed with vitamins and minerals.

Chestnut trees are great shade trees that can provide comfort during a hot summer.

If you grow a lot of trees, some of them in time can be harvested for wood. Chestnut wood is highly sought after for furniture and flooring. Being rot resistant, it is also a fantastic tree on a homestead. Fence posts made from chestnut will last for many years.
