This beautiful DeForest Florentine chip and dip serving platter features a brown glaze of a gingerbread color. Piece has no chips, breaks, cracks or crazing. There is a beautiful, vibrant color to the glaze. Triangular shape, it is 14" long, 15" across and 2 3/4" deep.
Made by Jack and Margaret DeForest pottery (1950-70) which was located in Duarte, CA. DeForest’s most collectible items today include anthropomorphic, whimsical and fun Veggie pottery pieces, DeForest serving items, DeForest chips and dip sets, and DeForest platters. Some of the rarer and harder to find items are the DeForest Wall Pockets and DeForest cylinder-shaped jars. Values for the harder to find items currently range $700 and upwards of $1,500.
