This steel Mail Box Mounting base is used and has surface rust as expected.
It is designed to be driven into the ground approximately 28-30"s.
The base collar is made to hold a 4" X 4" wooden post on which a mail box would be mounted.
Commercially made from very heavy formed steel plate.
