Free Adult Education Culinary Arts Program located at Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School in Northampton, MA 01060. The program is grant funded and lasts for 225 hours. We teach a variety of objectives including knife safety, knife skills, vegetable and starch preparation, stocks and sauces and meat fabrication in addition to introductory baking. We teach the ServSafe Food Handler course and students receive their Food Handler Certification if they pass the exam. The program provides uniforms and knife kits for students to keep free of charge in addition to all necessary supplies and test fees for the duration of the program. Program runs from January 12- April 9th and meets Monday-Thursday 4-9 PM.
