The HCC MGM Culinary Arts Institute, 164 Race Street, Holyoke is actively recruiting for the next FREE Line Cook training class!
This 4 week intensive class will be held completely in-person at the Institute.
8/10/21 - 9/2/21
8:30 am - 5 pm on T/W/Th
The class is being offered to students who would like to advance to the next level, have a passion for cooking, and be searching for a position in the culinary field.
They may be graduates of culinary programs as well.
Current staff working in the culinary field are also invited to attend.
WHAT: Students will learn to improve their knife skills, and prepare stocks, soups, desserts, poultry, fish, and meat. Moist-heat and dry-heat cooking methods will be taught.
Upon completion, a Line Cook Certification will be awarded
ServSafe Manager, ServSafe Alcohol, and ServSafe Allergen Certification training and testing will be included.
Culinary math, soft skills, résumé building, interview, and job search skills training will be offered as well as job placement and counseling to assist with further training, if desired.
FREE: ServSafe books and uniforms including shirt, pants, hat, apron, and towel (except shoes) will be issued, free of charge.
Kitchen safe shoes must be worn - preferably black to match the uniform. Students must supply.
