Our flying club has an opening. The equity buy-in price is $3000.00 for a 1/15th share. Our monthly club dues are $65.00, and the hourly operating fee is $130.00 with fuel included. The club aircraft is fully insured through Avemco.

This is, by far, the most cost effective way to experience aircraft ownership.

Our club operates a 1973 Cessna 172M that is current for both IFR/VFR flights. The engine was last overhauled by Penn Yan Aero in 2006 and has approximately 1500 hours operating time since then. The overall health of the engine is excellent. All cylinder compression readings are a minimum of 75/80 psi. and oil samples are clean. The aircraft is kept stored in a T-Hangar at the Pittsfield Municipal Airport. In addition, we have a Tanis pre-heating system installed for easier cold weather starts and reduced engine wear.

We recently upgraded the panel with all new avionics including a touch screen Garmin GPS navigator (GNC 355) with WAAS and dual G5 EFIS displays. The vacuum system, and its associated gyros, have been removed. We have an Appaero Stratus ESGi transponder with ADS-B out to comply with the FAA mandate.

The club averages 100 hours flown collectively per year and aircraft availability is generally quite good. Extended trips are allowed without restrictions (no minimum daily hours required).

All members must possess a minimum of a Private Pilot certificate, a current medical, and receive a checkout in the club Cessna 172. The club has a CFI/CFII on staff to assist with the checkout process.

Serious inquiries only, please respect my time.
Email if interested.
