This vintage pair of Art Nouveau figural lamps, dating to around 1920, reflects the elegance and romantic style of the period. Crafted of cast metal with a bronze finish, each lamp features a finely modeled figure — one seated beside a lyre, the other standing and holding a mandolin. Their expressive forms and flowing drapery are characteristic of the Art Nouveau movement, making them striking decorative pieces.
The lamps are topped with later fabric shades, styled with cream-colored pleats and long fringe, complementing their early 20th century design. Together, they create a dramatic statement when displayed on a sideboard, console, or mantel.
In nice vintage condition consistent with age and use. Notable imperfections include a crack to the mandolin held by the standing figure and a crack to one of the feet on the reclining figure lamp (both pictured). The bronze finish shows age-appropriate wear, and the wiring is functional, though as with all vintage lighting, professional inspection prior to use is recommended. A distinctive pair for collectors of Art Nouveau and romantic decorative lighting.
