19TH/20TH CENTURY AMERICAN SCHOOL “THE GULF STREAM,” after Winslow Homer, oil on canvas, 16 in. x 20 in. NOTE: Homer completed “The Gulf Stream” in 1899. This is a naive or folk art copy of Homer’s work and probably was completed in the early part of the 20th Century. PROVENANCE: Discovered around 1980 during the cleanup of a New York City building scheduled for demolition. Subsequently a private New York collection. LIST PRICE: $350
