About me: I am a 30 year old female that works business hours at a local manufacturing facility. I have a friendly kitty, but our home cannot accept any more pets. This is really a lovely apartment and for a good deal @ $700 per person. It is part of a duplex with a nice family living in the other unit. Hot water is included, heat and electricity are not. Bills are reasonable in winter. No dogs sadly as I am a dog person but I have a great cat who drinks out of the toilet and plays chase so that’s close enough. I would consider another cat moving in if it is well behaved and gets along with mine.
I am a fairly quite working artist in my early twenties. I’m looking for a roommate who I can get along with in a shared living environment not just to fill a room. You should be trans/queer friendly and must be able to commit to renting through July ’09 when my lease is up.

You will be responsible for paying half the utilities, which, aside from the winter are very very small. Even in midwinter, the electric and gas together have rarely topped over $100 (after being split by my housemate and I). Right now it averages under 40 bucks after the split.

This house would be perfect for somebody similarly employed; perhaps a grad student or struggling associate professor; or anybody else who can feel at home in a rustic farmhouse, and shares similar temperment and values as those already living there.
Rent is $218 per month plus 1/3 utilities (electric, phone, oil heat, propane stove & hot water, basic cable + broadband internet). Rooms will be available August 1. We live in a four bedroom duplex a mile from downtown. We are four people (recent college graduates, early 20's, who are all working in the area) and one amazing little (not toy) dog. We have a large eat-in kitchen with a gas range (where we sometimes share meals), a large yard (where we grill, garden, play with the dog and have summer cocktails), and a large living room (movies, lounging, and listening to records). We are four very different people who all admire each other and are all Queer and/or pro-Queer.
You would have your choice of bedrooms. Either mine, a comfortable room, furnished or not, with the best closets in the house ($315) or a much larger room with great windows and amazing wood floors ($320). Bills are less than $100 a month.
There is also ample basement storage, wireless internet, and we have a farm share. On street (and across the street) parking is available but this place is ideal for a foot or bike commuter.
Besides Queer or pro-Queer you are preferably -social, stable, able to commit for a year and to provide references, pro-dog, okay with TV, okay with people having friends over (dinner parties, movie nights), okay with the occasional party, and okay with meat eaters.

Many options and pretty flexible, but it must be spacious for privacy and personal space for all.
