Depending on the season electric can run from 30 to 50 per person. This is because the hot water is electric and with 4 people it just adds up. Where we all save money is the pellet stove, which is far cheaper than oil.

We pay for pellets as we use them. I would say for the whole winter 250 will be more than enough.

Cable internet and TV is 26.50 per person.

Our stats:


We all work, go to school, and are pretty laid back. We like a clean house and all do our part to keep the common areas clean. Everyone also pitches in to make the house a better and fun place to live. The puppy Spoon is an awesome doggie but is an only child so no other pets. The house has two full bathrooms and we found that it's best for the house mates to pair off to use and clean each of the two bathrooms. We all like to laugh and kick back. The house is an older farm house is well kept up and has a fair amount of charm.

We like having BBQ's and folks over from time to time but the house is not a party house meaning that folks understand that some have to get up early to go to work.

You should be very kid friendly and love being around children, but you will also have your privacy respected. If you need quiet to study, you will likely get to know our schedule and there are times that are very quiet and peaceful, and other times which are lively, but if you can block out some family noise and study in your room anyway, that could work as well.

OR we could also consider a homeshare POSSIBLY for 5 hours of help per week (most likely with child care - two small kids here - many excellent references required and interview, etc), for a reduced rent of down to $300 / month. Other help like cleaning the kitchen, doing laundry, cooking or other cleaning would be considered as well. If we meet you and decide to do the rent instead of homeshare, we don't want anyone being hurt. It has to be the right match 100% which is hard to do. We're not terribly close to a bus line for a bus that comes frequently, but we live about 1/4 mile from Mill Hollow bus stop, which comes only around 5 times a day, twice in the morning, 3 times in late afternoon / early evening. Plenty of parking for your car.

All Utilities included -Direct TV, electricity, a/c, heat & hot water. Will consider upgrading my land-line -currently just used for internet. If you don't have your own modem then it's just wireless internet.
Nonsmoking only & no pets -household has 3 small dogs already(chihuahua, mini pin mix, and a dachshund mix) -all rescued. Don't worry they won't get in your way! The smaller 2 are lap dogs and they mostly spend time in my room or outside basking in the sun.
